(More customer reviews)I've only used the fold-a-vee a few times, but it appears to work well. Having the ceramic sticks protected is important if you use this as intended which is more for camping, hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors away from your shop tools and equipment. If at home, it would be easier to use the traditional ceramic sticks that provide unlimited vertical movement.
The sticks provided with the fold-a-vee appear to be a little more course than many of the traditional white colored V-sticks in a wooden base. I see this as a positive for field use as it is sort of two tools in one. The two being an abrasive sharpener with a refined honer like the traditional white ceramic sticks.
