The glazes are beautiful, the items are high fired ceramics produced in France and are truly quality products...if you can get them to your home in one piece. Over the last year or so I've ordered several Emile Henry products from Amazon. None have arrived in one piece. It took two shipments of plates in order to get four that were unbroken. Thise utensil holder would have been just what I wanted but was in pieces when it arrived and was the last one in stock in this color at the time. I do want to say right here that Amazon was quick to respond when notified of the damaged products; the plates, they had a replacement shipment on the way within a day. Unfortunately multiple plates in it were also broken. The order was for a set of four and between the two shipments I was able to come up with four unbroken plates so I was happy in the end. I am convinced that the problem lies both on the part of Emile Henry (products could be better packed) and Amazon (the Emile Henry box was loose inside the Amazon box, no packing to keep the inner box from moving around or protection from crushing). Amazon has good prices on Emile Henry, just be aware that it may take more than one shipment to get the item to you in one piece.
