I also prefer the 45 degree decline with the wide opening, over some other options that are 90 degrees and one size through the entire opening. I find this more easily accessible to my larger hands than the other options.

Progressive International Meat Pounder Review

(More customer reviews)This Progressive International Meat Pounder does a good job of tenderizing boneless cuts of beef, veal and poultry. It's very easy to hold while pounding your meat, and will quickly help flatten meats to an even thickness, far better than one of those lightweight wooden mallets. I picked up one of these when my cheap (i.e. dollar store) mallet-style pounder broke the first day that I had it. Mallets meat pounders do work, but they put a bit of stress and shock on your wrist every time they make contact. You'll be able to prepare a lot of meats with this without wearing out your wrists.
This meat pounder has a stainless steel pounding surface. Its round shape is ideal for pounding meats and poultry, as well as pressing patties for hamburgers. It weighs a little more than a pound, so it's not too light or heavy to do the job at hand, and does most of the work with little effort. You can use the edge of the stainless steel disk for tougher meat cuts. The round shape is perfect for pounding and tenderizing all kinds of meat, and it's perfect for pressing beef patties for hamburgers.
You can spend a lot more on a heavier meat pounder, but you have to ask yourself if it's really necessary. This one has a comfortable design, with a durable, easy to grip handle. Since the disk is made of stainless steel, it's safe to use in the dishwasher.
I've use this for smashing peeled garlic cloves easily, and used it to break up chocolate for occasional baking as well. It has even been used to effortlessly break up ice cubes upon occasion, and is the perfect shape to put on some pot lids to weigh them down during cooking.
About the only thing that it didn't work for was crushing walnuts, and for that one really needs a nut chopper. With apologies to Vince "You'll Love My Nuts" Offer (the ShamWow guy), I'll pass and go for the Progressive International Heavy Duty Nut Chopper for that job.

There are tougher and more expensive ways to pound your meat, but this one does the job for me.

Some people have taken stars away because of the unfinished handle. The handle is just like any other rubber/silicon spatula I have had. You won't want to let it soak in the dish pan, but other than that, I think it will stand the test of time.

A bit too expensive in my opinion, but I couldn't find a similar product anywhere else. If you get water delivery service then I would suggest asking your delivery guy(gal)to get you one. The company may charge, I don't know, but it wouldn't hurt to ask if its free, heck he(she) just might give it to you! That's how I found out about these, through the water delivery service at work.

(More customer reviews)This thermal cooker has been a very useful piece for me, but probably not as Sunpentown intended. This has been invaluable as an insulated pot for potlucks, yogurt incubator, teakettle substitute, and a milking pail (yes, I milk goats), but not as an alternative to a slow cooker, which is its intended purpose.
When I tried to use the cooker as suggested, which was really difficult considering that the instructions were unclear and translated poorly, the food was underdone. When I cooked food in other containers (this one has a thin bottom) and then used this to keep the food warm, it worked much better. It does hold heat VERY well.
To tell the truth, I bought this, then put it away for a couple of months in disappointment. Then I started using it for potlucks, and suddenly came up with more uses. I made tea and kept it hot for hours. I used it to incubate yogurt. It became a great ice cube holder at parties. I'd like to see how it cooks rice. Hmmm . . .
Again, it's very useful for me, but not for the purpose for which it was created. I do feel like I've gotten my money's worth, however.

(More customer reviews)This syrup dispenser seemed like a great deal, however upon receiving it, the glass was chipped/broken on the lip where the metal lid screws on. I returned it for a replacement, and also bought an additional dispenser for a gift (I liked the product). The other two dispensers arrived chipped/broken in the same location. I can only conclude that there is either a design flaw, or that the glass is cheap. The way that Amazon packaged and wrapped the dispensers, I could have dropped them off a 5 story building and they would have survived, so I can't blame the packaging from Amazon.

The picture shows two. I expected two white ones at least since it did specify white. MISLEADING when they do photos of two and only one is for sale. For the price I certainly DID expect TWO replacement faucets. Especially when other online sellers do sell these for half the price.
Would never buy again. Other customer was right it is not sturdy either - not for this price. Since the other customer didn't get a refund, I figured why bother even asking. False advertisement and nothing indicating there was only one except word wasn't plural. Said weight was 8 oz and two of these weigh 8 oz - if that. So I was sure there would be two.
It only cost them 1.39 to ship it to me and they charged way too much for shipping, considering the price was already extremely high to begin with.
I did buy the same exact ones somewhere else, but only there were TWO brand new ones "like in the picture" for less than half the price and no shipping costs "somewhere else."

And I use it more than I ever imagined. I like the style because its clean and doesn't have the "cute" silliness of most covered butter dishes.
I guess that is what I like about Fiestaware anyway. It is so clean and neat as well as utterly gorgeous in colour as well as such a pleasure to handle. And my friends place looks so wonderful when he sets the table in the black and white Fiestaware, mixing plates, bowls, serving pieces.

PS: I'm trying to find a dripless baster I can used to feed my goldfish certain foods in a very controlled fashion so that I can begin training them to do tricks. I've got them trained to come up to the nosel of the baster to get their food, but when it "drips" out, I lose my control.

(More customer reviews)My Rival 6 quart slow cooker is falling apart after only six months. First the High/Low/Off switch broke off in my hand (and no, I did not manhandle it.) Then a carrying handle broke off, spilled hot stew everywhere and scalded my hands. Then the handle for the glass lid broke off under the weight of the glass lid alone, and the other carrying handle also broke off under the weight of the EMPTY crock pot (and I mean empty -- the metal shell only without the ceramic inner bowl.) The plastic of all the handles literally disintegrated.
There's really no excuse for this, My parents bought a Hamilton crock pot in the mid 1970s that still works today (after many moves.) My first experience with a Rival Product was their 4070 Hot Pot Express (which was excellent and has served me well for 12 years, though the RIVAL 4071 replaced -- and probably improved -- the 4070.) The 6 qt. round slow cooker cannot make the same claim.

(More customer reviews)It's a shame that they don't have a picture of it. This is one of the best pans I have bought in a long time. It's heavy and has a pour spout on the side. When you place the lid on it you can drain the fat off of your ground beef right in the pan.
This is a stainless steel pan... and is not a coated nonstick pan. Therefore you can not cook on high heat... let it preheat on 1/4 of your burner's power and then adjust up to the minimum needed to cook. Never on high unless you like burned stuck on food.
This is a fry pan with two handles on each side. This is so much better than messing with a fry pan handle.
I do use this pan everyday and reccomend one to everyone
