Norpro 11 Inch Small Spatula, Red Review

(More customer reviews)I love the look of this spatula and I love the feel of the handle in my hand. It has a great ergonomic design and it's very easy to hold on to. What I don't like about the spatula is the same thing that a previous reviewer liked a lot so it's easy to see this spatula could be very good for some people and not so good for others. It just depends on what you want a spatula to do.
The rubber end of the spatula is just too hard for my personal preference. It's difficult to get it to scrape up anything in the bottom of a bowl because it has no "give." I like a spatula to be able to moosh a bit so I can get every last bit out of a bowl. With this spatula that's just about impossible.
The other reason I give this a two-star rating (and that's being generous) is that the rubber end came off the first time I used the spatula. It continues to come off in use and when being washed.

River Drinking Water Pump Review

(More customer reviews)No where does it say "River" on the box I received. In fact, it's the exact same pump as the 3.89 one. Same box. Very cheaply made. The tightening ring is thin and I'm sure, not long for this world. I had owned a Dolphin pump and it cost more, but it was much more solid. I thought I was getting a better pump than the super cheap one sold on Amazon, but I paid double for the same thing. Live and learn.

(More customer reviews)I have several nylon forks I use for cooking. I like them because they are relatively safe for non-stick cookware, and are flexible. They don't damage the coating. I was looking for more and could not find them in any store.
Then I found this one at Amazon, but the Amazon description is kind of sketchy, it doesn't give a whole lot of information. Checking the manufacturer's website (Norpro) I found that this a "HIGH HEAT NYLON FORK" 14" long. High heat resistant to 450F. That's about all the manufacturer's website says.
The fork is dark gray/black. It is fairly rigid, not as flexible as I'd have liked. So I reserve its use for a fork that requires its rigidity. Since it's heat resistant to 450F, it's good for use in boiling liquids, too. If you're not looking for flexibility, then this an OK product for you.

Norpro Silicone Brush, Blue Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased two of these in December 2009 at $4.95 each. I thought that price was expensive, so you can imagine what I think of Amazon's current price of $16.22. They are worth what I paid for them, and this review should be considered in light of that price, not the current one, which I would never pay. I'm still getting used to cooking tools made of silicone. In this case, I don't think that this particular silicone baster works as well as regular bristle basters. Maybe it's just me still getting use to it, but the silicone seems sloppy when applying marinade and doesn't cover as well. So, functionally, I still prefer bristle brushes.
On the positive side, it cleans up well in the dishwasher, better than bristle basters that I usually had to run through twice. There will be no more shedding, which the bristle basters do. I really was sick and tired of the bristles getting into the food. The acrylic handle is sturdy and very attractive.

If I had known I was getting a 20 oz. cup, I wouldn't have ordered it. What I received looked nothing like the picture. The measuring cup I received was really, really bad. The quality was good, but the markings on the cup are almost impossible to read. The numbered markings are clear, on a tiny black background. I put a liquid in mine and had to hold it at different levels, and trying to get the light on it just right. I had a very hard time trying to use it.
