(More customer reviews)My friend loaned me her Butter Bell Crock to see if I would like to have my own. I fell in love with hers, so I went online and found one in a color that would go with my kitchen. I love my butter bell crock. It is a little messy putting the butter in, but I love that the butter is also so soft! Every other day I replace the filtered water from the refrigerator door. Even my husband loves using it. Sure beats any butter spread, or trying to remember to leave butter out ahead of time to get soft.

For centuries, Europeans have kept butter fresh on the table, ready to serve - even in hot, humid climates - without worry of butter going rancid. The secret is the way it's stored - not on a side plate or in a butter dish, it is preserved in an earthenware pot. Butter Bell stoneware inversion pot maintains butter's creamy smooth flavor and texture. Simply add water to the base and pack butter into the lid. The layer of water acts as an airtight seal when lid is inverted. No more trying to spread hard butter from the fridge. You'll actually use less butter on breads, vegetables, and potatoes, and save a few calories, too! Decorative embossed design is hand-distressed to create a rustic look.
