(More customer reviews)I bought this crock for 12.99 from Amazon. Considering their cost along with two day PRIME shipping, this is a good deal. Below are my observations:
---The quality is OK, not exceptional.
---They came shipped with nothing broken.
---The main thing to realize is that these crocks are really small. Based on their description I thought they would be big items.
---Above are some images I took using a tape measure so you can see the actual size. I had the camera really close to the crocks so you can see their detail but the close angle makes them look bigger than they really are.
If you need onion soup bowls, to use here and there, and you do not need anything that will last for generations, then these are for you. If you are looking for something to pass down to the great-grandkids then you might need some high end Porcelain.
Would I buy these again? Probably not - I would buy something a little more upscale and durable. However, if I was purchasing a wedding gift for someone and did not want to spend too much money then yes - these would be the perfect gift.
I don't think they are good enough for 5 stars yet they are not bad enough for 3 stars. You must remember the cost you are paying in comparison to the quality. The two day PRIME shipping alone is worth more than 12.99 even if the crocks are not worth it. All in all I am happy with this purchase.
The lid weighs 4 ounces
The crock (without the lid) weighs 14 ounces
Lid and Crock together weigh 1 pound and 4 ounces (No, it does not feel heavy when empty and lifted)
I can't figure out where the extra two ounces come from when I place the lid and crock on the scale together but that is what the scale says.
