(More customer reviews)I wanted this crock to hold utensils like a spatula, a spoon, tongs, etc. After 10 minutes of clicking around Amazon and comparing the different sizes and colors, I settled on this one. I did read the dimensions, but Amazon's photo, and the user-submitted photo of the yellow crock that's also in this product's listing, convinced me that this item would do the job. Well, what I received is a short little squat thing -- a cobalt blue version of this (which, by the way, lists the same dimensions as this product). I've downloaded my own photos of what I got, which you can see in the "customer photos" area. In one photo it's holding utensils (sorta), and in another it's holding pens & pencils.
The long and the short of it is: The photo shown for this product is wrong. You won't get anything that can hold utensils. I recommend you get out a ruler before you buy this. Use it to hold pens, maybe, or a potted plant, or something that's short and not top-heavy, but don't get it to hold utensils.
